Over the last seven days Lola and I carried around little paper diaries and wrote down reasonably accurate notes about the radio stations we heard. The numerologists at Arbitron selected our "household" and persistently coaxed us into participating in their local radio rating survey. We have no qualms about being consumers in a consumer society, and although I have a healthy skepticism of all things marketing, there was the potential amusement value of any new experience. The most important factor, however, was the opportunity to give props to our peeps: WIBA AM for content based talk radio and WORT FM because non-commercial music is the way to go.
